Thrivent Builds – Construction Begins on Second Home

Thrivent 2010Thrivent Builds is building their second home with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County for Nadine Warnex and her three children.  The Wall-Raising Event kicked off the project on Saturday, August 21 in the new Habitat subdivision of Abigail Springs in Taylors.  A “Hammer and Nails” Ceremony included Nadine and her son, staff and board chairman of Habitat, Thrivent Financial for Lutheran members, as well as members from the local Thrivent chapter.

The partnership is made up of the national organization of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity International, as well as the local Greenville Chapter of Thrivent Builds and the Greenville Habitat affiliate.

Thrivent Builds–Greenville Chapter is supported with funding and over 300 man-days of work from nine local Lutheran churches, made up of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Messiah Lutheran Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Michael Lutheran Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church.

The project is set to completed and ready for dedication in the middle of October.
