Community participation is the heart and soul of Habitat Greenville. Together we’re providing meaningful and sustainable housing solutions—changing the face of Greenville County and transforming the lives of hardworking, low-income families.
Without the financial generosity of individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations, we couldn’t address the problem of substandard housing in our community. Monetary donations and in-kind contributions of building materials are essential to make each Habitat house affordable for low-income families. Habitat and the Greenville community owe a debt of gratitude to the people and organizations that have given at a Partnership level.
Habitat families receive zero-interest mortgages with modest monthly payments—typically much lower than the rent they had been paying. The benefits of homeownership help break the cycle of poverty in their lives and foster financial and social responsibility.
