In February, Habitat Greenville was awarded the 2015 Nonprofit Excellence Award by the SC Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO). The annual award recognizes exemplary governance, management and excellence in implementation of SCANPO’s Guiding Principles and Best Practices.
The selection committee comprised of SC nonprofit leaders, SCANPO members, foundation leaders and past award winners reviewed nine areas of Habitat’s operations: Mission and Strategic Direction, Governance, Legal and Ethical Accountability, Financial Management and Stewardship, Operations and Evaluation, Human Resources, Fundraising, Marketing Communications and Information Management.
The Nonprofit Excellence Award honors SCANPO’s founding executive director, Erin Hardwick Pate, and we will continue to work hard to meet the standards of her legacy, SCANPO and the citizens of Greenville County. To learn more, visit the Greenville Business Magazine to read the article.
