Habitat for Humanity is Seeking Bids for Demolition of Blighted Properties

Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County is seeking abatement and demolition bids for two blighted properties at the following locations:

294 Earle Drive, Greenville (Greenville County)  
101 King Street, Greer (Spartanburg County)

The Neighborhood Initiative Program is designed to identify blighted properties that qualify for demolition.  The program is a joint venture of the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority (SCSFDA) and SC Housing Corp. (SCHC) and the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA).  NIP is made possible by the US Department of Treasury.

The properties are to be bid on individually for both demolition and site restoration or for abatement of ACMs (asbestos related materials).

The program requirement calls for the abatement of asbestos related materials and the demolition of the residential structure or any structures on the property, removal and proper disposal of debris, site restoration to include grading and seeding of the cleared lot and disconnection of utilities/capping of the sewer.  

Each property should be bid seperately and will be awarded as such. If you are interested in bidding, please download the bid package and ACM report.
